Kalint
Geez, really pushing advertising development in here! She's no Edge Animate but I guess it gets the job done.
primexx
it's WYSIWYG, can't possibly be decent.
Dotdot
it's WYSIWYG, can't possibly be decent. Can be, as long as you dont mind picking apart the coding afterwords, for all the extra nonsense it will no doubt add in. I used to use Frontpage as a visual starting point, then once I had something, Id go to the .html file in my text editor and clean the crap out, re-test for my own errors, then bang done. Probs more work, but as someone with a very visual thought process, I personally kinda found it useful. Tho Ive noticed this with a few folk who are more "Art" background, when moving into or doing web design. +Dick Montage 1 Share
remixedcat
Looks pretty cool. Might use it to make some mockups for router uis.

+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted October 1, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted October 1, 2013 Hate for WYSIWYG editors is valid. Voicing it without justification and accepting that they have some merits in some circumstances reeks of "elitist" sentiment. There are cases where, as a developer of some 20 years now, I will defend FrontPage!
Nick H. Supervisor Posted October 1, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted October 1, 2013 Eh, if WYSIWYG editors are your thing then fair enough. Me, I'll stick with notepad (or notepad++ for a bit of an easier time  ). EDIT: Just to clarify after Nik Louch's post, for me it has nothing to do with being elitist. I genuinely enjoy writing up the code, opening it in a browser and going, "how the heck did that happen?!" before going back in to the code to find the missing bit that is screwing everything up.

There are cases where, as a developer of some 20 years now, I will defend FrontPage! Also just to clarify, i'm not being elitist. My thumbs down was my honest opinion of WYSIWYG editors and the code they spit out. The day they spit out decent code is the day i'll change my mind. ..but Frontpage? Come on maaaaan eeeeew!
+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted October 1, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted October 1, 2013 WYSIWYG editors for general page design - agreed, terrible. It was not a message accusing anyone of being elitist, but just to say it's not dissimilar in tone to "I liked Lumberjack Kitty Rapist before they got famous, their first album was amazing but you'd probably not know it" ;) ..but Frontpage? Come on maaaaan eeeeew! And then you learn that it was Microsoft's prescribed layout tool for SharePoint development, and it suddenly becomes the biggest thumbs up ever :)
Growled Member Posted October 1, 2013 Member Share Posted October 1, 2013 WYSIWYG (N) This tool probably isn't aimed for you. It's probably aimed at newcomers to web design. They don't care what kind of code is spit out, as long as things look fairly decent. I might give it a try, sometimes. Looks interesting. :)
