michael.b
I know that people had little things in their signatures for programs like Winamp that let users know what song they're listening to at the given moment with message posts--is there something like this for iTunes? Just curious. I would appreciate any imput. I am not looking for anything special... just simple text to be included in my signature... that's about all. Thanks. ie; http://www.audiomatch.net/usrs/roy.png?PHP...1e3e518b6bb9fb9 Edited November 23, 2003 by varekai2
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted November 23, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 23, 2003 Well, I would imagine that you can use an AppleScript to output that to a file or query a URL to update things. Might require some programming, but not much.
SPeedY_B
I'm using one from http://www.listen-to.com/ works OK until my ISP screws up and can't resolve the host, then iTunes hangs and won't move onto the next track! grrrr :p

michael.b
I just can't run the plug-in through the Apple script editor, nor open it anywhere to edit the file as advised, if the saved plug-in won't open through the script editor. :( I will give anothe run later on tonight. Hopefully it will have a go.
SPeedY_B
Download it, give it the extension of .txt (took me a while to figure that one out) then right click/ctrl+click, Open With>Other, find the script editor in your applications folder, then just follow the rest of the instructions.. File -> Save As.. Format: Application Click 'Stay Open' Click 'Never Show Startup Screen' Click 'Save' Double-click the file you just saved. The plugin should be reporting your data to Listen-To.com now. Done.
