Link to the Past, by far the first and only game that made me think worlds were worlds and a game on a low end system can be gigantic, maybe even surpassing most PS2 games. I'm old skool, so I can't give up my props to the roots of Zelda. Plus, I'm still waiting for a proper Zelda game for the computer. :woot: *yeah keep dreaming gramma*

And why?

I would answer like this, at least for Wind Waker;

Graphically, Wind Waker is fine. I liked it. It reminded me of the Zelda cartoon I used to watch during the Super Mario show.

The game was dissapointing because it was boring and slow. I spent most of my time sailing the seas looking for something... anything... what levels I did arrive at were very short and too simple. The most time consuming part was sailing, looking for pieces. No fighting. No stopping. I need to get two grids away, I have play the flute to get the wind right and then start sailing for 2 minutes. No thanks.

The sailing killed the flow of the game. The lack of extensive levels further hindered it. Play A Link to the Past or Ocarina, and you have a vast world with many things to explore. The levels were large and fun. Finding secrets was aslo fun, rather than looking for a map and then sinking the grapple a few times fishing for a treasure.

For me, there was more gameplay in the previous Zelda games than there was in Wind Waker. If you liked sailing around all the time, or thought the levels were just right, more power to you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I can't believe you people!

The Adventures of Link was THE best of them all!

I mean think of the HUGE change from the first to the second! AoL was simply terrific. I mean look at Soul Calibur II (GCN) Link is the same friggin character!

OoT.

I'm sorry, but I can't get into this old 16-bit crap, even when I owned 16-bit consoles. Bad music, bad controls, bad sound. The only thing going for them was the story, but when you take the excellent story of OoT and add the amazing art design and wonderful music, you get one of the best games ever made.

I really enjoyed LttP, but side-scrolling really starts hurting my eyes. I find myself looking ahead by habit.

Any of you ever play or see that remake of the first two that they did in the style of Super Mario All-Stars? It was only in Japan but it had updated graphics and sound.

Zelda for SNES was by far the best damn game for Zelda and possibly for Nintendo its self. Even better yet they released it on GBA so you can play it whenever you want.

I remember going over a friends house and spending ungodly amounts of time on this game. I got every last possible thing to get in the game.

I wish Zelda games were as well thought out and rich with stuff to do, that actually related to the game.

Damn good game!!
