anothercookie
My battery was lasting about 4 hours when I was on windows 8, now it shows time left at less than 2 on power saver mode on windows 8.1 I put the intel graphics card to work at max battery life but that didn't seem to work. The laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6 with an intel i7-3610QM @2.30 GHz 8 GB RAM 1 TB hard drive + 32 GB mSSD and also has a 1 GB dedicated nvidia graphics card. Not sure if the battery just isn't completely calibrated to the new OS but seems to be draining. Looked up the issue saw surface issues needing bluetooth on but my laptop doesn't have bluetooth. Roger H. Veteran Posted October 17, 2013 Veteran Share Posted October 17, 2013 Generally after Windows installs a major update it has to rebuild some .NET libraries plus indexing and all this other stuff so I wouldn't pay attention to it just yet. After a few days then maybe but right now it's doing what it needs to do to optimize your PC and such.
