Not Seeing my Wireless N network

On my Toshiba Laptop C855-S5306 with Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC network card installed.  Drivers direct from Toshiba's update installed on 10/25/13 V. 2012.1.0712.2013_Logo As found at:

I can see my standard Wireless G network just fine, but I cannot see my Wireless N network I have set up.  I have tried channels 36 and 153 respectively and am the only one in my general region (I live in a 96 unit Apartment complex) with Wireless N enabled.   For standard Wireless G and below networks, there are at least 15 at any given time in my wireless range. 

 

My cell phone which is a Samsung Galaxy Axiom, picks up the Wireless N signal perfectly. 

 

I am at a loss as to what might be the issue with the computer as the wireless card should pick this up.

 

In looking at RealTek's site, I am not certain as to if their driver might be worthwhile taking a stab at it since the driver number is actually lower than the one installed. 

 

 

Has anyone else seen an issue with at least this card not seeing the wireless N networks in Win 8.1?

 

BTW, this is a new Netgear R6100 which I installed on the 25th of this month.

I'm guessing that card doesn't do 5Ghz?

Says right there that it's a B/G/N card which is 2.4Ghz ONLY. It doesn't do 5Ghz.

Alright so then, I guess I misunderstood the part about b/g/n not picking up the Wireless N network by seeing it.  My bad!  Thanks! :)
