Nexus 5 Order live !

This going to work on Verizon?  Or is it limited to a carrier?

Unlocked, but I don't know if it would work on Verizon, I do know it works on T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T.

Verizon isn't listed on the compatibility page, if that's any help.

I just order the 32GB White Version.

This is going to be a great upgrade from a Samsung i9100M SII :)

I'm upgrading from a Galaxy S II also. This should be a great upgrade.

Those are the LTE frequencies that Verizon works on and the Nexus 5 works on these frequencies (LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41)

I would say that since both have 4....

It may work?

According to this, it wont.  Unless it means that Verizon will not be selling the device itself...

My guess is that Verizon won't be selling the device from it's stores, but from the information that I've gathered from both Verizon's Wikipedia page on what Frequencies they support and from the Nexus 5 store information, there are matching frequencies that may work? can anyone correct me if I'm wrong?

Just  read its not coming to Verizon.  Dont know what the hell Verizon's problem is.  If there was another carrier in my area that had decent service, I would switch

Verizon's problem is their old CDMA network.  They know it's a problem and that's why they are so far ahead in LTE coverage.  Voice is still over CDMA though with Voice over LTE (VoLTE) rollouts starting soon (been in testing for a while now).  This is going to continue to be an issue with new devices until Verizon can support LTE only devices.

I just read elsewhere that the N5 doesnt support the correct bands on Verizon.

Network compatibility

Google has made two versions of the handset, one specifically for North America/Asia, and another for other countries like Europe. For US consumers, Verizon customers will unfortunately be left out--this unlocked phone will not support the carrier's bands. It will be compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

It's okay, I already upgraded my One X to a One and still bought the N5.

I can admit, I have a disease.
