According to TheWrap, Drew Goddard (Lost, Alias, The Cabin In The Woods) is set to pen the upcoming Marvel and Netflix Daredevil television series, which was part of a four series deal that includes Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage shows as well.

Well over a year ago, Drew Goddard has spoken out about his love for Daredevil when talking about adapting World War Z; including the fact that he used to have classic quotes from the comics on his wall, as well as a red-painted door he had even at age 18.

The Netflix mini-series each consist of 13 episodes culminating in an event series called The Defenders, much like how the Marvel Cinematic Universe had solo films that ended it's first "Phase" with The Avengers. According to the press release, the Netflix series are set to debut beginning in 2015.

Goddard is recently known for directing and writing The Cabin In The Woods but has also produced and written several episodes of Lost, Alias, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel.

I loved The Cabin In The Woods. Let's see if he can make Daredevil rise from the grave where the movie buried him.

^ I agree 100%, he'll be a good Kingpin. He's great at playing characters that are right on the 'edge.' Wonder if Vanessa (wife) and Schemer (son's alter ego) will show up?

Deborah Ann Woll To Play 'Karen Page'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Deborah Ann Woll will play Karen Page in Daredevil. In the comics, she was the secretary at the law firm of Nelson & Murdock and Matt and Foggy would often battle for her affections...despite the fact that she only really had eyes for Daredevil! Ellen Pompeo (Grey's Anatomy) made a brief and forgettable appearance as Karen in the 2003 movie, but Woll will have a leading role in this series in what the site's sources describe as, "the first time the Karen character will be brought to life in a meaningful way." The True Blood star joins Charlie Cox as The Man Without Fear, Elden Hensonas Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, Vincent D'Onofrio as The Kingpin, and Rosario Dawson in a mysterious role which is more than likely Elektra.
