Art_X
I have looked about and it doesnt seem to be the usual support for patching of files in order to use 3rd party themes on 8.1, unless I am just not looking in the right places, can anyone help shed some light on this subject as I really would like to change how 8.1 looks, plus any themes you can suggest would be appreciated too :p Juan4Ever 1 Share

Art_X
yes i came across that one, but the fact it says poss bugged in its link has me concerned UxStyle_sep23_x86_x64_possibly_bugged.zip Are you using it? Have you had any issue(s) with it?
Brandon H Supervisor Posted November 15, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted November 15, 2013 i personally haven't used it since 8 came out and it definitely had a few bugs on 8 back then haven't tried it again as i've currently lost interest in themeing that pc for now
Art_X
Think I will give it a miss for now then, I can't be doing with an unstable system :)
zhangm Supervisor Posted November 15, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted November 15, 2013 I've been using it for about a month on 8.1 now without any issues. Having used it for a year or so on 7, the most catastrophic fault I've encountered with Uxstyle was that you'd lose the custom theme and revert to something like Aero Basic. I don't think it can render the system unusable.
spikey_richie
plus any themes you can suggest would be appreciated too :p There are some nice themes on here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/themes
link6155
If you have problems with UXStyle, use this instead: http://www.syssel.net/hoefs/software_uxtheme.php?lang=en Windows 8.1 has made some changes to the theme structure from Windows 8, so not all windows 8 themes will work on Windows 8.1. You can find Windows 8 themes here, but note that not all of them will work (look for the ones that clearly states they'll work on Windows 8.1): http://www.deviantart.com/customization/skins/windows8/visualstyles8/
