PS4 Hard Drive Upgrade - Important (Solution for CE-34788-0)

Before you start ripping your hair out trying to upgrade / replacing the PS4's hard drive.

 

You have to have a copy of the update on a usb drive, same situation as latter PS3 Models.

 

There's TWO different updates of 1.50.

The full update, and the increment update .

 

You need the full update for hard drive upgrade / replacement.

 

If you have the wrong one, you will get error "CE-34788-0"

 

1.50 FULL update (~850mb)

1.50 Update (~315mb)

When creating the folder structure on your usb drive

• It's case sensitive
• Folder layout has to be exact

 

Create folder(s) and copy the update files as listed below.
