I dont know my own graphics card type!

Recommended Posts

Well... this might seem "very" weird to you out there but... The problem here is that I don't even know my own graphic card type

My brother bought this used graphics card for an excellent price; that he didnt even ask for the brand. I know its a "GeForce" for sure. But I dont know whether it is a GeForce 4, GeForce3, GeForce2... Nothing. I have the manual and the cd... but not the Box.

You might think I could find out by plugging it in my computer, but my computer doesn't support AGP.

So now I'm stuck... I wanna sell it; but still... I have to find what exactly it is!!! I would really appreciate some help and for that I'm posting a pic of it... "MAYBE" I might get a precise description of what I have.

Help

Find a computer that supports AGP and plug it in. Due to the large variety of card looks, I doubt anyone will be able to name that right off the bat unless they're a true guru.

def a GeForce 2, but as you've all said - only way to be sure is plug it in to an AGP slot and check within Sandra or MY Computer > devices.

I would also suggest that placing it on the carpet will do it no favours what so ever - or is that me just being really careful and over protective of graphics cards!?!?

setting it on the carpet isn't that big of a deal, it's not like there's a current going through the card at the time.
