Description

The iQue Player (or in Chinese "Gods Playing Machine") is a new Nintendo console to be released by mid-October. The controller-style console plugs directly into the TV and comes with a 64 Mega Bytes Flash Memory Card to store the games. Games are not available in the traditional way, but can be downloaded via Download Stations to the Flash Memory Card in Nintendo-affiliated retail, compact disc and bookstores throughout China. There are also plans to sell games online

Good idea, bad execution.

Make a console out of it, don't plug flash cards in the controller...

I really don't like this idea, sorry.

Looks very poorly made, too... Also open for warez kiddies to take advantage of the rampant nature of software piracy in Asia. Good luck, however, Nintendo.

But look how small they've got the ability to play N64 games down to. Surely when the PSP comes out and Nintendo are under some pressure they'll have the ability to have a decent portable tech wise.

yea, if you look at it that way its pretty cool. but i just see it as trying to get money AGAIN for crap they sold a long time ago. kinda like some games that appear on GBA

But it's not really like that, N64 or SNES were never released officially in China so this is a first time that Nintendo have ventured into the market and this is exclusive to China. If they released this in the US then they yeah, but this is entirely different.

Also Nintendo are stuffing them as well because the games included are time limited demos. I mean some games are like 7 hours or someting. Stupid.

if you could somehow play games that you already own id buy one. since i have alot of games but the consoles always seem to dissappear. someone from school jacked my n64 by accident.
