Since you are going to get this anyways let me tell you anyways. Whats your system specs? I am guessing your using an ATI video card. Is a known problem on that world and from what I gother only the KOTR beta patch helps this issue. Not sure since I havent tried it yet. Other than that disable hardware mouse did a bit of a trick for me I still get slow downs but at least I can play at 10 FPS now :(

Stop right clicking the screen when not accessing menus ... For some reason quickly right clicking the screen changes the control methods, it seems to rotate through three differing methods, at least it does here. Its happened a few times.

Also turn off shadows and grass under the options as well as soft shadows, the game will increase in speed this way. I have had to do this as it says the NVidia Ti500 is too slow for the game :( Reducing/removing them options helped a lot.

My card played flawlessly through the game.

I thought this thread dealt with programming errors; I recall my character not moving his feet, they were stuck in a long stride and he was just sliding around :p

I did however install the Call of Duty Driver patch for ATI cards, maybe that'll fix your problems. Anyway, I've put in various hours to the game, and no diminishing gameplay in my experience.

My Video card is an 8500 Radeon.

Oh! Now that I recall, I did turn off Antistropy or whatever, basically, I'm aware I don't have the Very Best Card (maybe 2nd Best :p ), but you can try that.

Honestly it sounds like some hardware problems, like a Major Delay bug is running around your system, I suggest checking your system, maybe start with memory?
