Anthony Tosie Veteran Posted November 25, 2013 Veteran Share Posted November 25, 2013 I recently bought a new computer, and the account I use also is associated with my Surface tablet. Anyway, now my tile layout (everything -- size, location, group names, etc) is syncing between my PC and tablet, and I definitely don't want that. When I set up my new PC I set it up as a different device, too (I didn't restore the Surface information to the PC), so I'm not sure why this is happening. I've been looking through all the Metro settings and can't find a way to fix it. Anyone know?

zhangm Supervisor Posted November 25, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted November 25, 2013 Have you tried Win + W, "sync" to open Sync Settings, and then untoggling Start Screen/My Start screen tiles and layout? Edit. Ninja'd. :p
Anthony Tosie Veteran Posted November 25, 2013 Author Veteran Share Posted November 25, 2013 Ah, that did it. I originally had that option set to on so it'd sync my settings from my Surface to my new PC, but it never did sync the tile layout to it, so I just assumed it would only sync with the same device (or other Windows RT devices). Weird that my PC dictated the tile layout but not the Surface. Thanks! (Y)
