NFS Underground Video "Freeze" Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi to all

First, say thank you for appreciate help on earlier posts.

I've read on many forums that there's a problem with Need For Speed Underground that a lot of people have.

It's about the famous "lag" (Gameplay Freeze) on the first laps on a track.

The freeze duration is 1 or 2 secs., but the sounds continues.

I've heard people with GF4 Ti 4200, Radeon 9000 PRO, Radeon 9600 PRO, Radeon 8500, GF4 MX 440, and me, my Radeon 9200SE always got the problem.

People with 64 MB or 128 MB have the problem.

It's very ugly, sometimes the "lag" doesn't let play well.

?Anybody with this problem? ?EA Games knows it?

Greetings, Jolo.

P.D.: Sorry my english.

my ATI Radeon 9200 Does just fine with both Games, Underground and Hot Pursuit 2, both of which have a resolution of 1280x1024 @ 32bit @ 75hz, very very nice, if you update to THE ATI CATALYST DRIVERS YOU SHOULDNT HAVE A PROBLEM, DONT USE MODIFIED DRIVERS IT DOESNT DO WELL WITH THAT!

I just installed the Omega drivers too, and holy crap! It made the game run alot better. Like it was turbo-charged!

EDIT: It was all because of eXclusive. He is the man. Thank you! :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm curious, how much more of a performance increase do you guys get with the Omega drivers in NFS:U?

I'm running a 9600XT at 1280x, 32bit, 75hz, (using Catalyst 3.9) and I'm also getting a slight lag in some sections of the 1st course in the game.

So the Omega drivers should fix this prob eh?
