ACTIONpack
Is there any update on lawsuit about ghosting issue with LG display for MacBook Pro with Retina? I remember there was a lawsuit but can only find the filing but no information on what happen. Just would like to know because last time I try to get this resolve with Apple store, they issue was not coming up on the test. Now it's getting worst that if I spend a few minutes on one program aka Adobe Indesign and change to the Chrome browser. The ghosting stands out so much and annoying. Feel like if I take it in to the Apple store again they will not do anything on about it.
Brian M. Veteran Posted December 1, 2013 Veteran Share Posted December 1, 2013 There isn't a lawsuit as far as I know. I doubt one would succeed, as image retention is a byproduct of IPS panels - although not normally to the extend that some of the LG panels had it. Some of the SJA1 LG panels suffer from quite bad image retention though - but the vast majority of panels are okay. If you can demonstrate it at the genius bar, and it's still under warranty, they will replace the panel for you.
DeadEndAccount
Maybe take a video of the issue and show the person at the apple store?
