Napster & iPod?

Recommended Posts

I have an ipod, and I am looking for a subscription service for legal music downloading. The lovely iTunes, does not support that. I see that Napster does for around $10.00 a month, unlimited downloading of their 500,000 WMA files. Here's My Dillema.

- Napster Only WMA? iPod Does Not Support That!?

- How Much EXACTLY for the premium service, and is it true for UNLIMITED downloading?!?!?! for 10 bux a month can i really download 800 songs? but in a month?

- What are some options i have?

Please help me with my music dillema!

iPod was fashioned by the  - Not here to bash Apple stuff, because I like their computers and software, but the iPod, no way. With the battery fiasco and hell, I don't think much of the look of the iPod.

Don't have nothing to say about Napster, it doesn't work here in Australia. (N)

Betelgeuse: You're the  !

I thought napster was a download service......and no the ipod doesn't support wma, though if you're that concerned about the $$$ then just convert wma to wav then to aac, you'll notice very little-to-no loss in quality, despite what people may say.

WTF are you talking about? "fiasco"

The iPod being a throw away item when the batteries get pooched. Unless you pay Apple lots of $$ to replace them with the genuine batteries after just 18months of using the device. Sucks.

Man, don't believe everything you see on the net. Those brothers had their 15 minutes.

I have had G2 20GB ipod for 2 years with no battery problems, and I have a g4 20GB ipod without any problems either. If you don't have any personal experienced with it, then stfu (I'm saying this even though I'm not an Apple fan.)

ok ok, back to the original topic now :D

No, you can't use songs from Napster on the ipod.

Too bad the only choice is iTunes Music store. (bahh... I hope it comes to Europe soon  )

coolchan: whats the difference between g3 and g4 (sorry offtopic again, but had to know as I'm a g3 owner)

technically it's a g3. It's just that Apple doesn't sell the first g3 ipods (15gb and 30gb) anymore.

actually now it only costs $99 to have apple to replace it, at the time that video was made it cost $255. If you want to replace it yourself you can do it for about $50. if you get applecare for your ipod for $50 you get a new battery for free if your original one dies. Doesnt sound like a throw away item to me, plus alot of people have had theirs for longer then 18 months and it works fine, i dont see why one faulty battery should convince anyone not to buy an ipod considering thousands of people dont have any problems like that.
