Lewis Black calls this day Christmas Part I :p . My mom and sister are going shopping at the Polaris Fashion Place, and the other gagillion stores in that area. The Columbus Dispatch has pretty weak ads as well or at least in the electronics department though Circuit City does have all cd's for 9.99 .

Whos shopping for christmas? I'm shopping for myself!

That's what I'm talkin' about buy the stuff you want yourself!

1) The "cheap cheap" is after rebates

2) Get there dang early (like before the birds wake up), they have extremely limited stock on hand

Yea, I know it's all rebates...but if you put it on a credit card it all works out nice...lol

And the dang early is worth it, I think so or I wouldn't do it! lol...

Polaris is a cool mall, City Center is cool too...and don't forget about Easton...

I lived in Columbus for about 8 months when I went to DeVry, thats how I know about all the malls down there...

We were going to go shopping today, but all three of us (parents and myself) are sick. Thank God we got our flu shots already.

Good luck to those who do decide to venture out and go shopping!

Easton is pretty cool I love the Theater the seats are the best part. Haven't been there in a couple years, but my brother lives in a apartment complex pretty close to Polaris so I go through there a few times a year.

I live up near Mansfield which just started to get good stores, and resteraunts heck our Best Buy is about a year and half old no Compusa or Microcenters up here which sucks big time the drive down to Bethal Rd, and Sawmill is a long one the construction only makes it worse.

My mother and I were on a trip to MD and our car broke down in Mansfield... we didn't think there were any people there who knew what a computer was. *chuckles* No, we just seemed to be in a very... scary part of town. I can't say anything since I never did look around the entire place.

EDIT: I haven't even left my house yet. The snow is pretty, but bad for driving around these parts.

Easton or Tuttle are the only good ones here IMHO. Polaris is way out of my price range, I half expect a credit check before I get in the door. Easton, at least, can still be fun to walk around.

Go shopping? I had to work at Target today at 5 AM! Crazy ass people running around the store when we opened our doors at 6. The line to get in was down the block and cutting off the Babies R' Us entrance. A woman who works at our store went to Best Buy at 1:30am to get in line, she felt very proud of herself for being #1 in line. Weirdos.

:o what's wrong with people ?

ORANGE CITY, Fla. (AP) -- A mob of shoppers rushing for a sale on DVD players trampled the first woman in line and knocked her unconscious as they scrambled for the shelves at a Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Patricia VanLester had her eye on a $29 DVD player, but when the siren blared at 6 a.m. Friday announcing the start to the post-Thanksgiving sale, the 41-year-old was knocked to the ground by the frenzy of shoppers behind her.

"She got pushed down, and they walked over her like a herd of elephants," said VanLester's sister, Linda Ellzey. "I told them, `Stop stepping on my sister! She's on the ground!'"

Ellzey said some shoppers tried to help VanLester, and one employee helped Ellzey reach her sister, but most people just continued their rush for deals.

"All they cared about was a stupid DVD player," she said Saturday.

Paramedics called to the store found VanLester unconscious on top of a DVD player, surrounded by shoppers seemingly oblivious to her, said Mark O'Keefe, a spokesman for EVAC Ambulance.

We went to wal-mart at like 6am, so packed and there were no spots to park.

I did however see people leave with 5+ dvd players each! Crazy people, we just drove up saw it packed and left lol

I saw clips on the news about people getting into fights at the doors before the stores opened. They were pushing each other back and knocking each other down...it was ****ing disgusting. People get so stupid over a sale. It's no wonder I hate Christmas.

You must have broken down in the downtown area which is sorta rough all of the stores, and malls and such are in Ontario which is the city they're in, but everyone around here just calls it Mansfield. It was packed at the Mall tonight Best Buy wasn't though it never is I wanted to pick up a marked down Microsoft Wireless-G Notebook Kit which has a instant as well as a mail-in for a grand total of 99.99 I decided against getting it tonight maybe during the week though.

It snowed all day on Friday by morning my car had about 3 inches piled on top of it, and it looked like a winter wonderland looks nice, but appearances can be decieving when driving in the stuff.

Our Wal-Mart is always packed at the most their are three or four empty parking spaces available during normal days the check out area is always packed to the limit it's also pretty dirty inside. They're rumored to be moving from their current location to the vacant store that used to be a Super Kmart so hopefully they build a similar store there so Meijer isn't the only large grocery store in the area now you want to talk packed walk down those aisles and tell me which store is worse.
