ErraticFox
I cannot edit folder contents of a certain folder. I'm on an Admin account, it's the only account on my computer. I've went to the security tab on the folder properties and have allowed full control for my account. I've also tried the "take ownership" registry key. It still will not let me add or change the contents of the folder. It just keeps saying "You need permission to preform this action" and then a retry and cancel button. I've hit retry and it does the same thing. Why is this?
The Evil Overlord
which folder, and what OS? some need special permissions, and others can only be successfully deleted using the windows cleanup tool, or safe mode as explorer might have an association linked to it (need details)
]SK[
Registry? Just right click the folder and take ownership from there. Close the properties down, reopen them and edit Security so your account has full access. By default this is something Administrators can do so your admin account really needs to be a local Administrator of that machine.
