xufa
sorry i couldn't help my selfREAL!!!! STREET RACING!!! there is nothing real in this game you want real street racing, then how about, if you hit a lightpole you are dead. one thing that i really hate is movies like fast and furious, because then all the stupid kids out there with their civics thiking that they can jump over bridges, you said REAL! if you would jump over a bridge going 90+ mph, and and from about 50+ feet on the ground that entire car would fall apart. remember fast and furious is bull****, and this game is too you obviously have a serious problem with this game (and maybe even all games). given your opinion, if a game was made to really REALLY relfect on REAL racing, that game would not be much fun to play at all. there is a reason why it is called a GAME ya'know! games are supposed to be ficticious and yet provide a sense or realism (at least good games like NFS-U). like others have stated in this forum, if you don't like the game...then don't play it and don't talk about it. Prelude76
asian cars serve the purpose of being CHEAP. That's always what has made them popular.true thats the only reason why they are popular woah, sorry to get off topic about NFS:U, but there's just a bit too much mind-aletering pills being popped in this crowd. asian cars cheap? if you're referring to either Price-wise cheap, or Quality-wise cheap, for either comment, you guys are either crackheads or teens that haven't gone shopping for a car yet. i bought a '92 Honda Prelude 5 years ago. at the time, i paid $16,000 for it. at that same time, i *could've* got an american car like a Ford Mustang, year '94 or '95, for the same price. '95 preludes were going for a little over $20,000. everyone who is anyone knows that Hondas have the highest re-sale value around, followed by Toyotas. even now, its hard to find a '90 Accord for under $5000 while '97 GM beasts go for $2000. so from price point, asian cars are NOT cheap. you can get a brand new Sunfire or Cavalier or Neon for $15,000 on sale, and even get 0% financing, while Honda Civics are $20,000 + and they are not gonna budge on their 3.5% financing, yet Hondas are still gaining sales while GM and Ford are dropping sales every year. second, is quality cheap? well, a friend's '98 Cavalier had the transmission go at 150,000km. anothers '96 GM Grand Am's engine blew at just under 200,000km. i temporarily had a '94 Ford Taurus, until the entire steering collapsed at 230,000km. my Hondas? well, got my '92 Prelude at 130,000, and its still running at 420,000km. dont belive me, i'll take a friggin picture of it. i can still bring it up to 180km/h easily (it's peak in its prime was 220km/h). still original cluth, transmission, engine. biggest repair bill was new radiator for $200. my gf's Honda Accord '90 has 370,000km, still mint, no problems, every big-ticket item still orginal. I had a bud take a '86 Accord up to 750,000km before body finally gave way, but engine was still good. so before you call asian cars cheap, check your facts. one more comment: i'm personally involved in the tool & die automotive industry, and next time you go on a "buy american, screw imports" binge, look at the real world. we lost so much work from GM and Ford as those two are francticly moving their factories to mexico, and are getting the parts made in China. i nearly got layed off, but luckily, a local Honda plant in ontario and Nissan plant in Michigan saved us because they are expanding. all the work we do now at my job is Honda, Toyota and Nissan parts. so if i want to support my North American economy, i urge everyong to buy Japanese. think about that next time you go on a patriotic rampage. the "Buy American" arguement applied only in the '70s and '80s. xufa
asian cars cheap? if you're referring to either Price-wise cheap, or Quality-wise cheap, for either comment, you guys are either crackheads or teens that haven't gone shopping for a car yet. totally agree with you there. just last year, my '89 toyota cressida sold for $3,000! a 1989!!! i don't know too many cars that are made before 1990 that'll sell for that much (unless they are mercedes, lexus, bmw, etc.). and before anyone else goes bashing on me, it wasn't sold to an asian person..but rather a caucasian male who said he was a mechanic and liked the quality of toyotas. so please, no more hating on japanese cars if you're only gonna compare them to american made cars. both are good. if i want the best value car, i'll get a japanese car. when i want power and something to tow, i'll get a f150. nekrosoft13
i'm not gonna even answer any more (last reply in this tread) last two replys, i got about 5 paragraph that i could go against your comments, but i won't let me just say asian cars will never be as good as european/american cars EURO/America top quality :ninja:
Prelude76
EURO/America top quality :ninja: you're so juvenile. back up your rhetoric then. i can. i work in tool & die. for GM and Ford parts, our tolerance on parts were usually +/- 3mm. with japanese parts, we have high tolerance requirements of +/- 0.5mm. and when the japanese inspectors come in to examine the part, they won't leave until it's 100% perfect. material specs (type of steel) has to be 100% exact as well. for GM parts especially, their inspectors sometimes didnt even check before signing off, and used a different cheaper grade of material than was designed for. to sum it up, if you have 3,000 parts in a car and all the tolearances are super loose, **** will rattle and break down more often than on a car that was build with everything 100% to spec. compare a GM Cavalier's gas lid how it sticks out 1/4" outside the body, and how big the gap is between hood and side frame. you dont get sh*t like that on asian cars. tests showed how they were so much more water resistant when dropped in water, meaning everything fit very tight and sealed properly. i've seen GM Tahoe's with 1/8" gap on one side of the hood and 1/2" gap on other side. if you're gonna go off and bash asian rice-rocket cars, back up your proof instead of trolling that 'asian cars are cheap'. insider's secret: honda is working on its first ever pickup truck line. (we're about 3 years ahead in parts design from consumer models). if you own GM or Ford stocks, start selling them now. :shifty:
ANova
let me just say asian cars will never be as good as european/american cars I think your patriotism is getting in the way of the truth. I don't much care for the fast and the furious fad either, but at the same time I cannot ignore the fact that they are generally very well built cars.
