Not sure if anyone on Neowin is currently part of the beta test, but anyone that has got in to the open beta may have been spammed by password reset emails (500-600) from the company that runs the forum.

I received 500, others on the Reddit thread had >1k

 

For some reason Bethesda seem to be trying to play the incident down, but thousands of customers have been sent other customer information and links to reset their passwords. It's pretty messed up!

been in every beta so far and have never been spammed by anything. so i guess i am doing well.

This upcoming weekend will be my second beta invite and I have not gotten any of those emails.

Odd thing is, Zeinmax/Bethesda are trying to deny it happened, but some of us already accidentally reset the passwords to other peoples accounts by following the first emails.

 

Hard to call it a non-issue when users are able to do that!
