In Windows XP if you are using the new Start Menu right click on the start button and go to properties, then click the "Customize" button next to the word "Start Menu", then click on the Advanced tab in the new Window, then check "Favorites Menu" and hit ok.

If you are using the classic start menu, right click on the start button and go to properties, then click on the "Customize" button next to the word "Classic Start Menu", then check "Display Favorites" and click ok.

That is the answer you are looking for right? If not..then sorry I mis-understood the question.

You probably would do the same thing in Win2K(right click on your start button and go to properties). If not all you have to do is find a way into the Taskbar settings(You are wanting your Favorites to be displayed in the start menu right?).
