Funny thing I noticed at my local EB

Recommended Posts

Uh, where is this supposed "CD KEY" located on the outside of the box? I own the game, and it diesn't have the CD Key on the outside of the box.

No need to be all suspicious. It isn't really appreciated. Why would I lie about something like this? Yes, it's on the outside of the box. Boxes in Australia and the US are different. Yours are much smaller (which I prefer), ours are huge. Different distributors, different people making the boxes..

Having it wouldn't really help you if you didn't own the game anyway, and the game requires you have the CD in at all times to play.

Anyone with broadband can just pick up the ISOs in underground warez networks or P2P. Combined with the blatantly obvious CD-KEY printed on the box, they got themselves Uru Live. It's a concern because wouldn't that mean the person who buys the game would have problems connecting to Uru Live?

All or most of the activision publised games have the cd key printed on a sticker on the inside of dvd case in the UK, ;) ;) But of recent they have been putting them on the manual ( call of duty ... )

EA games have the cd key on the manual so dont look at them. but theres still odd publishers that have the cd key on a sticker in the case.
