macoman
A suburban Detroit woman was being held in connection with the death of her adult son, whose dismembered remains were found dumped in trash bags along the sides of roads, police said. The names of the 59-year-old woman and the 32-year-old victim were not released, but St. Clair Shores police Sgt. Jay Cohoe told the Times Herald of Port Huron that they were mother and son. The Associated Press couldn't reach Cohoe for comment Saturday. The woman, who lives in St. Clair Shores just east of Detroit, faces murder and dismemberment charges. She hasn't been officially charged. Police said prosecutors in Macomb County are expected to review a warrant with the charges Monday. The victim was reported missing Jan. 26 and identified through fingerprints. "Fingerprints taken from the dismembered white male were forwarded to the FBI and compared with previous fingerprints taken from the missing 32-year-old St. Clair Shores resident," St. Clair Shores police said Saturday in a release. A cause of death was not released. An autopsy was to have been conducted Friday. The man's remains were found Thursday along the sides of roads in St. Clair and China townships, about 50 miles northeast of Detroit in St. Clair County. Someone had reported seeing a woman dumping trash bags along a roadway. "Deputies and detectives from the sheriff's office responded and discovered garbage bags containing body parts," the St. Clair County sheriff's office said Friday in a statement. Also Friday, investigators on a tip from a citizen found a bag near Interstate 94 that contained clothing and charred paperwork. Evidence also was taken Friday from two homes in St. Clair Shores. DocM
IF an unnatural cause of death like poisoning pobably first degree murder. She tried to dispose of his car and her SUV, the latter being what she hauled his body in. The charity she tried to give the SUV to uses a tow service, and they reported blood all over the back seat. The SUV is now at the crime lab. Murder one in Michigan is mandatory natural life without parole. Sometimes in a high level prison under 23 hour a day lockdown.
