siah1214
Massive performance in front of millions of people at the most popular sporting event in America, and it's about money? NO WAY! Water is wet and vacuums suck, so what else is new? It's always about money, what the hell else would it be about? Explanation: we got paid Yes? Your point? Before a real concert they have hours to set up and check equipment and connections and settings. They didn't have that luxury here, so they eliminated points of failure. It's the only thing that makes sense, and if you don't like that tough titties. Much ado about nothing.
FlintyV
I sincerely doubt that the Superbowl is the "most-watched television program of all time." It's the most watched in the US. It's far from the most watched worldwide with only 111milion viewers and I can't imagine any large number of people outside of the US care about the Super Bowl. Though the 2011 Cricket World Cup between India and Pakistan was watched by 1 billion. Fifa World Cup 2011 - Unsurprisingly the competition?s most-watched match was the final between Spain and the Netherlands, which reached 619.7 million in-home viewers based on those watching at least 20 consecutive minutes of coverage. MikeChipshop Member Posted February 9, 2014 Member Share Posted February 9, 2014 Having only just watched this, it's clearly pre-recorded and I'm not sure how people weren't sure! As to why they did this... it's the Super Bowl half time show, i think there's quite a few bands that would bow to the powers that be to be involved. I just think they pre-recorded the wrong bit, Flea et al are damn fine musicians, Anthony on the other hand... not so much. I say that as a RHCP fan since the early 90's :p
krisu007
And I thought - how is it possible to play a guitar while jumping, running and freaking out like them? There you go - it?s not possible, not for them :-)

+Raze Subscriber² Posted February 12, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted February 12, 2014 I sincerely doubt that the Superbowl is the "most-watched television program of all time." Except, outside of the US, most people have never even heard of the Superbowl and would probably not be interested in watching it even if they had. Ah, "most-watched television program of all time" equals most watched in America. Bingo It's the most watched in the US. It's far from the most watched worldwide with only 111milion viewers and I can't imagine any large number of people outside of the US care about the Super Bowl. I didn't see where it said anything about be the most watched "worldwide". Yes it is the most-watched television program in the USA. http://www.forbes.com/sites/maurybrown/2014/02/03/super-bowl-most-watched-tv-event-of-all-time-with-111-5-million-viewers/ On topic - This is much ado about nothing. A halftime show with a pre-recorded soundtrack, so what, the Super Bowl is really about the game (anyway it used to be). The halftime show is just for hyping the show's sponsor, this year it was Pepsi.
