Batman: Arkham Origins has no plans to fix several game breaking bugs

The developer said that it's busy working on story DLC and has no plans to address a number of existing issues with the game.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal has said that it's working on more story DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins, but that it currently has no plans to release another patch to address several issues that the developer is aware of.

"The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums," a community manager said in a post on the game's official forums.

Batman: Arkham Origins players have suffered from numerous minor bugs since the game's release, but also game breaking bugs, like corrupted save files on Xbox 360, repeated crashes in certain parts of the game, and being locked out of certain missions or other content.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal said that if it decides to release another patch, it will attempt to solve these progression issues, but not other bugs.

"If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play," the post reads. "The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for some of you, and want to thank you for having been patient."

This is a doubly insulting to those who own the game on Wii U, as Warner Bros. also recently announced that it will not release DLC on that platform, forcing Nintendo to refund players who already bought the Season Pass.

As if you needed any more confirmation this game was a complete cash grab....

Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Hope those of you who own it speak with your wallets and boycott the DLC. God knows whose bright idea it was to **** off all the fans before they release the DLC

Too bad MS cannot enforce the developers to fix the problems by preventing the sale of the DLC....

+1000000. If a game studio refuses to fix a game they know is completely broken, not just little bugs, but bugs that prevent people from progressing in the game said studio/company should be banned from releasing any additional games/DLC for the platform.

I've tried to complete Arkham Origins twice, both times hitting a bug preventing any further progression... been waiting for a patch, but it sounds like they're not going to bother  :/. It's the developers first game too, won't be buying any future games built by 'Warner Bros. Games Montr?al'.
