kiddingguy
I have installed Windows 8.1 on my parents PC and now they told me that Spider Solitaire isn't there anymore. I have downloaded the Spider Solitaire Collection, but apparently the original Windows 7 version was better. Is there a way to download and install this Win7 version and install it on Windows 8.1? And if so, where can I download that particular Spider Solitaire?
Eric Veteran Posted February 20, 2014 Veteran Share Posted February 20, 2014 You can probably copy it from a Windows 7 installation. It's called "spider.exe". All of the solitaire versions are available in the Windows Store solitaire collection but it has ads if you don't pay a "rental" fee for it. The Evil Overlord
Anyone know where it's located in 7?
Chris123NT
There is a patch necessary to make it work, I'm not sure if it's available anymore but someone made it for all of the win7 games when windows 8 first came out. I'll try to see if I can find it and I'll post up a link for you. EDIT: Here you go, patch the win 7 game exes with this and they will run just fine on Windows 8/8.1 http://rghost.net/users/Tito6/releases/Microsoft-Games-Patcher And here's a post on how to use the tool: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/33214-How-to-use-Microsoft-Games-from-Windows-7-in-Windows-8-x

kiddingguy
Thx. Unfortunately I haven't have a running Win 7 (64 bit) environment anymore. So how do I get these files! The installed Win 8.1 is also 64 bit.
