notchbak
well all i can say is get ready for the best thing that could ever happen to you man. its scary right up to the last minute, but when you see and hold him/her for the first time, all that subsides and you will realize nothing compares. btw my son is 10 yrs old. Keldyn
Congratulations! Prepare yourself for many sleepless nights. They wake every hour on the hour. It is like they have a built in alarm clock. hehe Fortunately it is not all bad ;) Kids are terrific fun. Nothing beats watching them play and learn and grow. When they look up at you with a big smile and say your name it is magic. You are in for one hell of a time. I wish you all the best for fatherhood! :)
morganpugh84
I became a father at 17 and I would not change it for the world. I admit it is sometimes hard but the rewards are worth it a million times. I would never want to be without my daughter now she is the most important thing in my life (yes even moer important than my laptop! heh). If you ever wanna chat PM or MSN me it is cool chatting to other parents. reactionary007
kids rule. my wife is pregnant now too. due in april. this will be my third... i already have a 6 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. i'm only 24 too! kids are the best.... you are going to be nervous until that kid is out... but once it is out you'll feel great. its tiring work right off. and you will probably be tired until the day the kid turns 18! its all worth it though... i love my family... and without them i don't know where i'd be. nothing is better than packing up the whole family and driving to chicago to see dinosaurs at the museum or going to christmas pageants or just driving to grandmas and watching them spoil the grandkids... your in for hard work and lots of fun! I've done the whole road as a single Dad managing to get her off to college last year. You forget about all the sleepless nights caused by their crying and the more numerous ones caused by you worrying about their future. Its a long road you are getting ready to travel, but the rewards far outweigh any parental dues you will pay along the way  Everytime I see one of these threads I am reminded how much I miss having her underfoot  /me puts on Cat Sevens' "wild world"
