Recommended Posts

WinXP 6 in 1??? I have never heard of such a project or codename, but the next two versions of Windows are as follows:

1. Longhorn (NT 5.2)

2. Blackcomb (NT 6.0)

Longhorn is due in early-mid 2003, and Blackcomb is due in late 2004-early/mid 2005.

Windows xp 6 in 1 is a cd image/cd which has ALL versions of the windows xp collections, examples are the MSDN version, Devils own, DELL OEM Pro, Home, Windows XP pro - all of which have the correct cracks.

1. Primary XP Professional, MSDN Volume License Version

2. Alternate XP Professional, DevilsOwn Version

3. Alternate XP Professional, OEM-DELL Version

4. Alternate XP Professional, OEM-Patched Version

5. Alternate XP Home Edition, OEM-Patched Version

6. Alternate XP Home Edition, OEM-Untouched Version

Sorry no server version is installed. Believe me I know because I have it and no I'm not giving it out or anything.

MSDN is straight from Microsoft. It's the developers network where you can download all final versions of their programs if you pay them a butt load of $$$.. (msdn.microsoft.com) If you know anything about anything you would know this.

Here is the full info listing from the cd for those who want to know.

Welcome to the Value Added Windows XP Professional, Home Edition 6in1 CD.

This is a multi-bootable Windows XP CD which put 6 different English versions of Windows XP Professional and Home Edition together into one single CD. Other than multi-bootable, the CD is equipped with an Autorun CD-Menu to make it more user-friendly under win32 environment. There is a Value Added Folder which contains useful tools, utilities and drivers to be used with the Windows XP.

Features:

- Windows XP Professional, Home Edition 6in1:

1. Primary XP Professional, MSDN Volume License Version, i386 folder located under

2. Alternate XP Professional, DevilsOwn Version, i386 folder located under WXPVOL_EN

3. Alternate XP Professional, OEM-DELL Version, i386 folder located under WXPOEM_EN

4. Alternate XP Professional, OEM-Patched Version, i386 folder located under WXPCRK_EN

5. Alternate XP Home Edition, OEM-Patched Version, i386 folder located under WXHCRK_EN

6. Alternate XP Home Edition, OEM-Untouched Version, i386 folder located under WXHOEM_EN

- CD is bootable into a main menu from which you can select to install anyone of the 6 XP's

- Included in the Valued-Added and being selectable from the CD-Menu are Tweak-XP, MP3 Codec, DivX4 Codec, and ASPI Layer.

- Other tools and utilities in Value-Added are: CustomizerXP, PowerStrip, PowerToyXP, TweakUI, CDRWIN, WINIMAGE, DaemonTools, ISOBuster, JavaVM (MS & Sun), DirectX, NVidia Drivers, ATI Radeon Driver, 3dfxDriver, SBLiveFix, VoodooDriver, additional ScreenSavers and Wallpapers

Installation:

- Install with the following Product-Keys:

Windows XP Professional, MSDN or DevilsOwn VLK:

Windows XP Professional, OEM-DELL or Patched:

Windows XP Home Edition, OEM or Patched:

- Install with any one of the following approaches:

1. Boot from CD and select one of the 6 XP's to install

2. Under DOS, run i386winnt.exe of your selected XP (it is strongly recommended to run DOS smartdrv.exe first). e.g. X:WXHCRK_ENi386winnt.exe /s:X:WXHCRK_ENi386 /t:D (X is the drive letter of your CD and D is the drive letter of your target hard-disk where you want the copied temporary files to be put and the WinXP to be installed)

3. Under Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP, run setup.exe or i386winnt32.exe of your selected XP. e.g. X:WXHCRK_ENi386winnt32.exe /s:X:WXHCRK_ENi386 /tempdrive:D (Please observe the Notes to install Alternate XP's as described below)

4. Under Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP, you can also use the Autorun or Value-Added CD-Menu to install the selected Primary or Alternate XP's. (Please observe the Notes to install Alternate XP's as described below)

- Notes for installing Alternate XP's:

Since this is a N-in-1 CD which has moved all the Files/Directories of the alternate XP's one level down the root, we therefore need to use Advanced Options during the Setup of the alternate XP's if you do not boot the CD directly but want to install under Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP:

After you have input the Product-Key, you will be in "Windows Setup" screen. From there you click the "Advanced Options" button to go to that window, you then check both of the 2 boxes in the lower part of the window:

[X] Copy all installation files from the Setup CD

[X] I want to choose the install drive letter and partition during Setup

By doing this, the system will make a copy of files from the correct source path of your CD to the hard-disk first instead of searching the i386 in standard CD installation. You then will not have trouble of being asked constantly to insert CD or being reported of missing files because of the redirected i386 directory. This is similar to make installation from source on network or hard-disk.

Upgrade:

Upgrading from previous version of Windows to any one of the Alternate XP's is a little bit tricky with this special N-in-1 CD. That is because the upgrading process from CD would not give you a chance for selecting the "Advanced Options" to copy files from the Setup CD. It is recommended that you copy the whole folder of your selected XP to your hard-disk or network first, and then use winnt32.exe to perform the upgrading from the hard-disk or network instead of from the CD.

Patched XP's:

Please refer to PATCHED_PRO.TXT and PATCHED_PER.TXT under the root directory of this CD for the installation and login instruction.

I still have a windows 2000 3 in 1 floating about somewhere. It has, Professional, Server and Advanced Server on it. Also has integrated Service Pack 2 for all three editions. Really useful.

But why in the world would you need that many versions of XP !? Thats just dumb :s

As far as i know Devils0wn is basically the Final but with some files replaced, taken directly from the corp version so as to eliminate PA.
