Need some Christmas gift ideas! ;)

Recommended Posts

I'm one of those people who really cant figure out what to buy for anyone :/ Last year I bought my girlfriend a packet of ready salted crips, because I couldnt think of anything else

Soooo, I need to buy her something much better than crisps this year (which can't be that hard ;))

Any ideas? :)

What's ur budget? (Hopefully more then a packet of crisps this time me thinks).

How long u been seeing her? Is an engagement ring on the cards??

Vouchers is way too vague to give ur g/f. It will lead to "oh u only care about me enough to get me vouchers", or "so u've known me x long and the best thing u can find for my interests is vouchers!"

gift certificates...you don't exhaust yourself looking for something they don't need and they can get what they want

i agree with this.. i like getting gift certificates to places.. that way i dont have to return anything :pinch:

From past experiences in my life... which may or may not apply to the rest of the world... gift certificates and girl friend do not play well together... For some reason it comes across as not very personal...

I personally would love a gift certificate.... it would save me from having to wear some stupid shirt that I don't really like just so I don't get asked... how come you never wear that shirt I gave you for Christmas...

Well, in the case of a girlfriend it would really depend on how long you've been seeing eachother. For example, if it had been awhile, (which is surely has, since you were seeing her last Christmas) then you could get her some nice lingerie or something along those lines.

money is cool, gift certificates if you are sure they like that store. if youve got a store like brookstone or the sharper image, theyve got all kinds of really cool gadgets, you can find something for anyone in there, that stuff makes a great gift.

Oops, sorry I was a tad vague ;\

We've been seeing each other for about 2 1/2 years, although she was my best friend through primary and secondary school :) There isnt a budget, because as far as i'm concerned, she's priceless ;D ( soppy i know  )

you could get her some nice lingerie or something along those lines
I just might do that! ;D

I gave her a gift voucher for her birthday last year, and she wasnt too impressed :pinch: I got the silent treatment for about a month for that one...

Is an engagement ring on the cards??

I'm waaaaay too young for that one yet :D

Thanks for your help guys \o/ :D

Jewelery. I absolutely love getting white gold necklaces. For how long you've been dating her, you might want to get her a silver, white gold, or gold locket. They come in all price ranges and styles... just take note of what kind of metal she likes. I never wear gold, and if I were to get a gold anything I'd be a bit put out.

Stuffed animals. They actually have stores where you can go and make your own teddy bears and put little clothes on it and everything, I don't know if you'll have one near you, but it makes a good outing/date for you and her. Think of it as a bonus present, something to put in your card that you give her. Tell her that you have this planned up. I love it when things get pre-planned for me by BananaMan. It lets me know that he really thought things out.

A DVD of a movie you two went out to see and really enjoyed. Something you two can sit down and snuggle to while it's all cold outside. Make some hot chocolate, too. ;)

There are some ideas from a girls point of view. Hope they help! Good luck :)

for my 2nd christmas w/ my gf, i got her PJ's

for our 3rd christmas together, i got her Victoria's Secret

she loves it so everyone's a winner :D

this year i'm tired of shopping and i'm pretty poor cuz i don't have enuff time to get a job this christmas so i'm probably just gonna get her a gamecube game and stick it in a Tigger stocking that i found at the mall

..but some other good idea's for gifts for your gf are like care bears, take her out to dinner somewhere nice, perfume...

...oh ya, for our first christmas together, i took one of our pictures and had it printed on a pillow

that's always a nice gift, doesn't cost that much either ;)

hope it helps!
