VidER
Hi All ! I am facing a strange problem with My Mouse under Windows XP.. I have a Genius Netscroll + Eye , Optical USB Mouse .. It works fine with my computer when I run Windows ME, But When I run Windows XP I face a strange problem! The computer does not recognize the mouse unless I unplug it and thenplug it again! So if I restart my computer and try to move the mouse it does not move . I have to take the plug out of the computer.. then plug it in again and I hear a voice and a message appears (USB Mouse Found)! I visited Genius web site and downloaded the latest driver and nothing has changed .. I tried emailing their support team and told them that I have downloaded the latest driver with the XP support .. they e-mailed me back asking me to try and download the driver !!!! Is there a reason for what is happening? or I shall live with it and unplug - replug my mouse everytime I start my computer ? Thanks all !
Joswin
I have a simular thing, but with my webcam. Its a logitech QuickCam WEB. As soon as i install the latest drivers from the MS Upfdate site it will not let me access the camera from 'My Computer' it says the device is in use (works in MSN/software etc) unless i take it out the USB port and bung it back in (lucky i have a hub or i would be on my hands&knees trying to stick the thing in the back. (Not that i havent been on my hands&knee's near the PC, "no please dont die, i didnt save my 5 page word doucment, nooooo!!!!" ;)). Anyway it isnt much help to you in iteself but it sounds simular with the having to un/replug in. Anyone else?

~eskimo-nz
I had a similar problem, I updated my motherboard BIOS and it fixed the problem, maybe that could be the case of your USB problems? Hope that helps
