workforce 1100 need new head

The black ink clogged... >.<  There is no hope of cleaning it out.  I've had the printer a good 6 years now, did a lot of printing and I think it's just time.

This is the only site I found offering a replacement head, but it seems it's out of stock. Hoping someone here has a better source :)

This is what was deposited in the well  (not the waste ink area)  there's a hole where ink kinda drips into and it fills up with this sludge that requires swabbing from time to time. If it sludges up this much, can't imagine how filthy the head is.   It's supposed to spray like a clean shower, instead it's like a scaley shower head. Too bad I couldn't use CLR.

found one that isn't out of stock... on the same website.. ok i hate when that happens, sorry to pester folks.  i guess google served me up an expired page when the real one was via a link on the page itself.

 

i just hope it's an accurate listing specifically for WF1100.  :blush:   I'd still be grateful if anyone knows of a cheaper listing though, but this will satisfy me if not. thanks again.

Have you thought about just getting a new printer. Most of the time these print heads cost more than a replacement printer. Just a thought.

$159?  Can't you just buy a NEW wide format printer for like $200?

This is a all in one WF for $176

 

Never really been a fan of inkjet type printers - but they are pretty much throw away items if you ask me.. If you need anything other than ink for them, its time to just buy a new one.. 7 years old, I have to think the current models would print higher quality, faster, etc.
