neowin_hipster
umm there might be a module, type this ls /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/net/* if that doesn't work try #knoppix on freenode or try scrounging around. BTW. i saw my friend use a script on knoppix once to get his 802.11b card working. He knows all about knoppix and wireless. I'll see if i can't ask him later when he's online again. neowin_hipster
Ok. i was assuming that you knew at least something about *nix. First open up a terminal (a console) Log in as root by typing su (if you are already root, it will just do nothing) then type that. I'm assuming that knoppix uses that directory. I really suggest going to irc://irc.freenode.net #knoppix to get some help. After a quick google i saw that this model should be auto-recognized and the module should be loaded. What might be happening is that network scripts aren't running. Try "./etc.init.d/wlan start" maybe also try "dhcpcd" ps: he's still not online, it's probably because its exam time and he doesn't want to be bugged. kenthepostman
I have the same Linksys card. I use Mandrake 9.1 and the driver was not included as far as I could tell. However, a driver does exist and was not too difficult to install as long you don?t mind reading a few tutorials. The driver on sourceforge can be found at http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/news.html.
