Leo Natan
"alot more technology"?! Have you seen D3?!?! This is a stupid company (ION Storm), who can't utilize the Unreal Engine right, and is only harming its (Unreal Engine's, not the company's) good name! Smufie
About the Hitman: Contracts game. It's not a sequel to Hitman 2, ie. NOT Hitman 3. It's the first Hitman, that are being updated to the consoles. The first Hitman only came to PC, so they decided to update the first one, and release it to consoles! MegaManXcalibur
YES! I see the demo disc (or trailer) for the next Hitman! That alone would be worth getting Deus Ex 2 (although I was going to get the game anyhow). Ok it's a port to the consoles, but still what the heck I can get excited anyways. sin-ergy
muwuahaha, my radeon 9800 just got shipped. hopefully the game WILL run better ;) the demo doesn't really do this game justice though. they shouldn't have even released it.

postertoad
MX cards are NOT supported. Game requires pixel shaders, which the MX has not. Sorry. No patch can fix this.

Neo003
In short Deus Ex - Invisible War is made for radeon 10200  . By the time any card made for this game come's out we all will be playing Half life 2 in different modes.
kenterlogic
Well, I gues you could say that it's made for the Radeon 10200, or you could say that it is a poorly built game that wants ATi to pick up the slack-- which it does at a price of about 400 bucks. I bought Deux Ex while my new XPS was on the way and tried to install it on an HP with an Athlon 1.4GHz (orignal Athlon) with 256MB or RAM and a GeForce 2 GTS. I got a ROCK SOLID zero frames per second. No pixel shader 1.2? Damn. When the XPS rolled in with 3GHz P4, Radeon 9800 Pro, 1GB or memory and all sorts of other goodies (RAID 0 array) I installed it and it ran at a constant 60fps+, when little was on screen it maxed at about 130 (thank you MyFPS 2.1). That's why I got this sytem in the first place, so I could roll over any game regardless of poor coding. The game itself strives on atmosphere and story, so if you plan on just running about shooting-- don't bother. This game is best with the lights OFF, alone in a room with surround sound bumped up to 11 when it is really cold in your room, just enough so that you can't feel your hands because of your ****ty heating system which you can't seem to fix. But that's a good thing because you can really push your CPU and GPU because its only 50? in there and it won't overheat. In other words, the game is built for ME. (see also: Prince of Persia, Call of Duty, NFSU, Civ 3 Conquests) Also, my computer "DOES NOT" run the Half Life 2 leak at 60fps because "I DONT HAVE IT." Though if I did have it, I would imagine that it would run at about 63fps average at 1280x1024 with 8x anisotropic filtering.

Zaic
uuhhh and i remember 2-3 years ago they were talking about the game like this "imagine what an incradible game it will be, fully interactive blah blah blah... ect. 4 example: a chair u can lift it, throw it, sitdown in it, brake its leg and use it like a weopon, shut doors using chairs... any1 who played, is it true? Hooya
I dont think I understand what you guys are trying to say...You seriously think they would port the xbox version of the Unreal Warfare engine to work on windows rather than just using the PC version? Yeah right... If they had used a custom engine then maybe but I seriously doubt they would go to all that work to port a PC version of an engine that already exists. Thats just plain stupid. Um... I don't think anyone is talking about porting the engine itself, but the game code is ported. Hardcore. There is no way anyone can deny this. Look in the ini files in the program directory and there are XBox settings all over the place (they are labled XBox or PC - it's really obvious). nekrosoft13
it runs pretty decent on my system now 1280x1024 resolution, medium settings and i get 30-40fps ;) now could someone tell how to get the game to save the settings?
xRKx
I've been noticing in a lot of forums that a lot of different hardware combinations are getting people wildly different results with the game. After making the various suggested tweaks I've been able to run it just fine, honestly. I'm not getting 60 fps or anything, but it's certainly more than playable, unlaggy, and gives a much better play experience than the Xbox version - or *shudder* Halo on the PC. I'm set to 1024x768, shadow, lights and models all on high, bloom off (God that was just awful looking to me, anyway. No AA - but I never use AA. My system's not exactly high end anymore either. Athlon XP 2500+, 768MB DDR333, GeForce 4 Ti4600, XP Pro running pretty bloated at the moment. I'm almost done, about to finish it up, and I have to say that I'm /totally/ underwhelmed. Completely underwhelmed, actually. At least being stealthy is /super/ easy in this one (I /hate/ stealth games. ^.^) I get more fun out of abusing the Havok 2 physics engine than anything else in the game, all in all. I spent /way/ too long earlier tonight freaking out a Templar who couldn't see me by throwing the bodies of his dead comrades at him - my roommate thought I was going insane!
