lieb39
Hello everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows the server specs of this website, i'm curious what powers this popular website so I can compare to my small website (22000 members, and about 300-400 users at once, running so slow...) Thanks, lieb39

Betelgeuse
Excellent hardware! Actually if you want a little more info about Neowin try: http://www.echoecho.com/documentationdomainlookup.htm Select "Get Server Info and Uptime" Type in neowin.net and get info like this: The site www.neowin.net is running Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) mod_gzip/1.3.26.1a mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.2 PHP/4.3.3 FrontPage/5.0.2.2634 mod_ssl/2.8.16 OpenSSL/0.9.6b on Linux. KC
What always gets me is the bandwidth limit of Neowin, if it even has one anymore.
Joel
IIRC, it's around 2TB.
Steven
IIRC, it's around 2TB. Finally figured out what IIRC is. I've been pondering it for months! I felt like such a "noob" to even ask.

Tim Dorr Veteran Posted December 6, 2003 Veteran Share Posted December 6, 2003 IIRC, it's around 2TB. It's 1.2TB I think: http://ev1servers.net/english/xeon_series.asp We're one of those servers, and ev1 doesn't offer bandwidth upgrades. The only other option would be a 10Mbps which affords about 3.2TB of bandwidth :)
