Have you heard the term...

The term in question is "jason rate"

I spotted the strange term, phrase, or whatever you call it the other day. The term was in a statement similar to this: We (Company/Sales person) can beat your (customer) best "jason rate". The company was IT or technical company of some sort.

It is driving me a little crazy  because I have this need to know personality and can't stop thinking about it... I was curious if anyone else has ever: Heard the term? Used the term? Knows what the term means? and/or What does the term apply to if anything (hourly rate, technical rate, etc...)?

Thanks for reading this far, any comments are appreciated... :)

It was an email that someone had printed for me to read... In the email, an IT company was proposing to handle all IT needs for a flat fee of $5000 a month. It continued to say that at a rate like that, there would be substantial savings... yadda yadda yadda... Then it said that the rate would beat any existing jason rate, or something to that effect...

Sorry that is all the info I have... Due to the low response... I assume no one has heard this term or just doesn't care...

Thanks!

btw: my name is Jason

did you ask the person who gave you the email? you might call the company and ask them if they know what it means....they might just be using an unusual or nonexistant term to make you think they know what they are talking about...like a snow job...a flim flam....a sting....a bunny butt ;)

The person that showed me the email showed me the email because my name is Jason and he thought I would find it funny... I asked him what it meant and he said... oh that is an old term... then he acted suprised that I hadn't heard it before... So I asked him what it meant and he said something like... uh you know.. a jason rate... like uh... your lowest rate or current rate or something like that... In other words... blah blah blah.. boog-a-dee boog-a-dee...

Oh well... I am thinking it was a typo, a term that only applies to a particular field and therfor not well known, or just so old that there are not many living users of the term...
