US Created 'Cuban Twitter' to Stir Dissent

Lend-Lease provided support at a 90%+ discount and with a 40 year term. This was only required because direct free support couldn't get through an isolationist Congress.

A deal that the US unilaterally pulled out of at the end of the war in violation of the contract, with the cargo ships enroute held to ransom. The only concern the US had was profit.

The 15 Jupiter missiles in Turkey were obsolete and coming out that year anyhow. A little problem with them partially arming themselves after lightning strikes and a Bulgarian MIG almost crashing on the base. Russia overreached when they perceived weakness in Kennedy after his first summit.

Whether they were "obsolete" is irrelevant, as the US was still positioning weapons against Russia.

We embargoed them because of previous bad acts over a whole decade, their invasion of numerous nations, many allies, and we were in active negotiations over our differences when they blindsided us. Yeah, nice guys.

I think Cuba and Russia would argue the same thing about the US.

The US actively meddles in the affairs of other nations and acts indignantly when others do the same. Cuba is of no concern to the US yet still it actively meddles in its affairs.

Cuba is of concern to us when it tries to destabilize our neighbors and facilitates drug traffickers.

You're doing a million times better job at that yourself than a backwater island with no limited communications and traffic to those neighbors. Seriously...

Fix your own problems, don't blame it on others and meddle in their affairs, history tells us that every time you guys try to fix a country it ends up worse off than it was, and worse than that, it ends up worse for the rest of the world and more dangerous for the rest of the world, so please stop trying to fix things, you guys suck at it.

Go back to your history books. Roosevelt sent material aid to the Brits once they showed they would act to prevent the French fleet at Mers-el-Kebir from falling into German hands, which was before Pearl Harbor. We became directly involved after Germany declared war on us after Pearl Harbor because of their mutual defense treaty with Japan.

From the start of the war the US been supporting us in the war. They couldn't get their general public ready for a full blown war without Pearl Harbor. German subs took down hundreds of US cargo ships.

The public had little interest in what happened in Europe until the US got hit. If it wasn't for help from the US, the UK would've fallen years before the end. And Iceland would've sucked to put pressure on the AXIS forces from the west side.

No matter what, IMO the US deserves 0 disrespect when it comes on handling/helping their allies in WW2.
