Recommended Posts

I sent in my PS2 for repairs, and it was liek my 5th or 6th time doing this. (Model 30001, the first day release ones)

I only sent in my console, no cables, or controllers.

They yesterday they sent me back a brand new console, boxed, with controller and cables. not opened, not refurbished!

Its the new model (50001) with the yellow + in the corner, it has a built in IR port for my dvd remote and is silent and has dvd-+r/rw support and progrssive scan. Its great.

Just thot id share how sony treats there customers :D

Sony USA that is, the canadian sony didn't even fix my console properly, jerks :(

Yeah my friend told me hers quit reading discs, but boosting the drive speed seemed to fix the problem. I sold my first one for $250 the day before they went down to $200, and then bought another  .. but I never had any problems at all.

I am really careful too though.

Well, with other consoles you won't have to send it in even once. ;)

So true, i sent my psx back twice and they gave me a new one.. within a few months i had to use it upside down

Dont have a ps2 but my mates do and they've had alot of trouble, mainly laser stopping working

I had a PS 2, it started getting weird when reading CDs, so I sold it. Come on, CDs ... how hard can it be! They've been around for a lot longer than DVDs. Anyway, I've heard of a lot of problems with PS 2 drives.

All of my friends ps2's were dying, then mine starting having disc read issues, so I sold it to EB for a game cube. I also have an xbox, that plays any title I would get for ps2 except one, GT4 :(
