Will Electronic Boutique give store credit

Recommended Posts

Yea what KrypToniK said, take it to Wal-Mart (they give you store credit at full price with no receipt no questions asked) ...if you return it at EB or any other game store you'll get store credit but the game will count as a used game so you won't get full price on it. But if there is no Wal-Mart near you then I guess EB will be the only way to go, or selling it on Ebay may yield better results.

If the item was originally purchased online, it can't be returned at the stores.

If purchased at the stores, and still sealed, you should be able to return or exchange it. EB policy is posted at the following. Nothing specifies need to have receipt, and it's pretty common during holiday season not to have one.

Just call them if you still have doubts / questions.

In Australia they will always offer a refund, no questions asked, if the product is returned within 7 days of purchase.

Who will, every store? Man, if that ever happened here there would be nothing left.

Besides EB being overpriced, I was really upset when I went to go buy the Diablo II Lords of Destruction expansion pack. I drove myself up to the mall to EB (I was 16 at the time) and obviously had the original Diablo II, because otherwise why would I be buying the expansion?

Well I go and bring the game up to the counter, the guy asks me how old I am? I find it odd he's asking me this, so I say 16.

Clerk : "Well I can't sell you this game its a new policy that you need to be at least 17 to purchase mature rated games, is your mom here with you?"

Me: "...wtf..."

Needless to say I was p***** as f***. I mean I own the original game, and I can't buy the expansion, and why would my mom be with me!? So I told him I'm never comming back, I'll go to KMart to not only buy the game, but buy it cheaper.

Haven't gone back since, and I'm 18 now...

For some reason its a company policy, because parents called in bitching about how their kids were buying mature rated games. WTF? Aren't parents supposed to be watching what their kids buy and play? Stupid parents, put them all in a rocket and send them too the sun.
