ShortMan
Is there a difference in sound between dual and single voice coil subwoofers ? Do the dual coil subs have deeper bass ?

ShortMan
If thats the case, then why bother to make dual voice coil speakers ??
IndianPimp99
The difference between the two types of subs in the load that is presented to the amp. The reason companies even make DVC subs is because it allows for different wiring configurations depending on what kind of amp and system you want to use the subs with. But, as you asked...I don't think there is a difference in sound.

erp
Dual voice coils are usually used in subwoofers. This takes the bass output from the amplifier, both left and right channels and sends it to one speaker. Because there is little stereo information at low frequencies, the 2 coils are wired out of phase with each other, which reduces distortion.
