F-Zero GX

I picked up this game on thursday and I am loving every minute off it. The courses are great, so much variation and thet graphics are great especially some of lighting effects :o . It was challedging because story mode is especially hard even on normal ( theres no easy mode in case your wondering). I havent tried multiplayer yet but I bet that is amazing too. The overall speed is fantastic, I think I am addicted to it because you go really fast. I am so glad they didnt ruin a good game when they made this, this is definately an upgrade from previous installemtn on the N64. One thing I miss much is the Battle Mode ( I think thats what its called) You got to try and destory as many vehicles in a certain time and that isnt here :( But thats only one little thing. There is a customising option and you buy new cars and upgrade current vehicles and can put logos on the vehicles. You get tokens for completing Grand Prix and Story modes and you cant go up a level in story mode until you complete the current level and then you go to the shop and buy the pass for the next level. Overall I give this game 9.5/10. If you loved the original, you will not be dissapointed. One thing I wish they had is online play, that would've seriously rocked. :D

Yeah, I told you it was good didn't I? ;)

I just picked it up a week or so ago, and am loving it. I thought it might've got a bit boring, with it not being online or anything (don't have friends round to play games much just now)

I love that you can make your own craf/ship/racer though, it's great fun. The speed is just incredible. I wasn't blown away by the graphics initially, but once you get to the later tracks it looks amazing.

I love that the game is a challenge in story mode, it's a nice refreshing change from games getting easier these days.

I don't know how well online would have worked with the game, with the speed and level of control it requires. Any lag would kill it, it'd have to be perfect net code. If they would have had to limit it to four player it wouldn't have been worth it anyway, on tracks designed for 30 racers.

LAN was actually a planned feature, but Sega said they were focusing on single player like the other F-Zero games did. Which is code for not enough time, or we're feeling lazy.

I reckon they could've made some small maps for lets say 8-10 players and possibly Nintendo host the dedicated servers, I wouldnt think it would hard to produce a netcode for it as we have seen what Xbox Live can do.

It is a great game and very hard indeed. After I unlocked everything on normal and stated playing on hard, it was very difficult. It took me like 20 tries on each level to beat it on hard. When I finally unlocked just about everything on hard and started playing very hard it was just too hard and I wasn't willing to play it because I started getting other games, but overall it is the best racing game I have ever played and I enjoyed it a lot.
