Elliott
Did you turn on Interference Robustness? That might solve your problem. Never did anything for me, but I dunno.

Tim Dorr Veteran Posted December 6, 2003 Veteran Share Posted December 6, 2003 Are you using WEP? We had issues with it and just had to turn it off because it always meant the router dropped. We're protected because the router will only give IPs to the MAC addresses of our laptops in the house. Ours is a Netgear, so that may not be the issue, but it's something to consider... Chad
If you have a wireless phone the same frequency as your wireless signal, you may have problems. 902.11G (wireless extreme) runs at 2ghz, which happens to be the most popular frequency for wireless phones. I had wireless internet, but everytime we used our phone, it would kill the internet connection. Do you have any other wireless devices in the house? Microwave? DjmUK
I would suggest turning off WEP, that solved my wireless problem instantly. Use MAC filtering instead of WEP Encryption and your wireless data bandwidth will double and your signal may be preserved or even enhanced. the evn show
I have the same router and am using a combination of 802.11b and g devices with it. I have WEP turned off and it works flawlessly. For security I have it set to only allow MAC-addresses of machines I own to connect wirelessly.
