i fail to see how you can get a numerical answer at this point. please do show your method.

the one i did last night was based on angle-angle-angle. i worked it out for x in terms of r also. don't really see how you can go on further w/o more information.

i don't really appreciate your comments toward others. its good if you scored perfect on standardized tests, but education is far more than that. it would be better to offer insights rather than talk condescendingly imo.

If you aced all the standardized tests, I, for one, would expect your grammar to be at least a little bit better.

thats how you close a post...and owned went out in the early 90s in the hacker community

omgorsh!! its a 31337 h4x0r!! everyone bow down to him

Anyway, back to the problem... I'm 99% sure this is all the problem had. I stared at it for a good five minutes, so I think I remember it right. The other 1% would happen only due to a horrid memory lapse.

The picture is also drawn 99% accurately. The only thing I see that is wrong is that the bottom two shaded pieces look bigger than the top two-- but i said that all four of the shaded regions are equal, so that shouldnt be a problem.

I would give you the multiple choice answers, but this was a fill-in question. This is all the info I had.

It's entirely possible that this problem was on the experimental section (the SAT has 6 sections that count and 1 section that's just there for experimental purposes.. you dont know which one it is). I had two sections with fill-in's, so either this section or the other one is experimental. And, considering how no one I know has been able to solve this, I think this was an experimental problem. Plus, CrzyCool pointed out that this problem wasnt on his test, so it most likely must have been experimental.

It sure seems odd though that they have a problem on there that cannot be solved.
