john deer lived around here for a while, had a few houses, and the company still employs thousands of people in the area, as well as having one of their major global network hubs here.

Mississippi is famous for quite a few authors, more than it's share of football (American-Style, it should go without saying) players, and a few rock stars.

I mean, everyone has heard of Elvis, haven't they? :)

Mike Epps is from my hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana.

The movie 'Hoosiers' of course...

I have met the all famous Bobby Knight on multiple occasions.

Sandy Allen (Worlds tallest woman) lives about 5 minutes away from my house.... My mom brings her a tray of cookies once a week.

My dad made the diving boards for the Mexican Olympic Teams.

My dad's machine shop used to own the patent for the mahine that takes the stuff from the pumpkin and puts it in Libbey's Pumpkin Pie cans.

If you ever ride in an elevator in the United States, chances are it was built partly or entirely by Otis Elevator Corp. My dad makes some of the grids and every day parts used in the elevators.

That's about it for famous stuff in my small town...
