HawkMan
Yeah, but my approach allows steam to continue to update the games whilst leaving them on my SSD. I leave DotA2 on my SSD indefinitely. It only gets moved back to my HDD when I am about to format my PC. Then I rinse and repeat. It essentially allows me to keep my steam library installed and up to date and to pick and choose which apps get SSD boosts >.< I usually just use a separate Steam library for the always SSD games since steam supports multiple libraries now. Odom Member Posted June 2, 2014 Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 If you have the space, put on the SSD everything you want to be faster.
gohpep
I have games that I use a lot on my SSD, hasn't died yet after 1 year of (ab)use. Everything else is on a HDD.
spaceelf
SSD for things I play often, HD for everything else. HDs can be friggin painful for some games. Aside from this one, my SSDs are currently off in other systems for one reason or another  so I really should get another one.
game_over
I guess it's just personal preference then? thanks for the input. I think i'll go with: SSD for games i play often and HHD for everything else.
tsupersonic
256 Samsung 840 Pro (OS + Apps) 80 GB Intel 330 (Steam install + Games) 128 GB Samsung 840 Pro (Additional Steam library drive) 1 TB WD Blue (Data) I'm planning to replace the 80 + 128 GB with a 512 GB SSD in the future. I'm looking to go truly HDD less in my desktop, so I'll probably add another 512 GB SSD for data.
