Buying a new TV

Recommended Posts

Well good move on the JVC. Oh and it is pretty much fine to get a Sony Wega with a warranty but if you ever look into getting a Sony HDTV set just please do your research and find out that you won't be buying the sony. There are very overpriced and very low quality parts at least with their HDTV sets. I haven't heard good things about their non HDTV sony wega sets so I can't really advise you but when a company makes a very low quality expensive HDTV set than why would you think that their non HDTV lower end sets would be any better. If anything their low end set would be the low quality and their HDTV sets would be high quality.

I will never understand sony no matter how long I live.

Oh and I know he wasn't looking for an HDTV set but I didn't think I would get such a reply for suggesting something. Why don't you flame the person that suggested the Sony HDTV set. Of course don't flame him but I see no reason to say that to anyone for making a suggestion.

Well despite my previous decisions... I went with the Sony... it had a better picture it seemed than the JVC. The JVC did have better sound, but I will be getting a home theatre for it shortly so thats no biggy. So far I am happy, i got the extended 5 year warranty on it, with in house service (They come and pick it up, fix it, then bring it back) and if i don't utilize the warranty they give me the $100 i paid for it (the warranty) back!

thanks for everyones advice!
