HeartsOfWar
SC: Ghost is only for consoles... sad, but true... but Blizzard did say in one of their FAQ's that they would revisit the SC universe and this was after SC:Ghost was revealed. AaronMT
They are not working on starcraft 2 - and they mentioned that they have no plans to. So to whoever said they read about it above this post - you are wrong. They are working on Starcraft Ghost - which is console only.
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted December 8, 2003 Veteran Share Posted December 8, 2003 http://www.blizzard.com/ghost/faq.shtml Q: Is this StarCraft II? A: No. Q: Will there be a StarCraft II? When? A: Although we have not made any announcements and do not have a development or release timeline, we do fully intend to revisit the world of StarCraft on PC at some point in the future. Labtec
Didn't Blizzard lose some of their best talent like Bill Roper amongst others? If that's the case, I don't think SC2 will be as great of a game as if could've with these guys there.

dL
I think Blizzard is stupid.. they are not remaking the best selling game that they've made. Well I understand that they believe SC can stay on very long, so they wanna save the budget. But I think it's about time that SC2 should come out, and make it the BEST GAME EVER ON EARTH :D haha... not sure if im gonna quit cs when sc comes ;) lol.. but anywayz..
Adster
Do you people not understand the time and resources needed to create a game from scratch? Most good quality games can take upwards of 5 years or more to develop from start to finish. And one usually hears about the release of a game within one year of the release date. Game companies always keep things under heavy wraps untill on official release is made. And even then details can be sketchy. Bottom line, Blizzard has most likely started development on SC2 a long time ago, but no one will know anything about it untill Ghost is released at the earliest. Blizzard isn't stupid. They will make a sequal.
KC
I remeber talks of War Craft 3 years before it was released. I think there was even a trailer for it long before it was released. Same thing could happen with Star Craft. One of my all time fav games
HeartsOfWar
They are not working on starcraft 2 - and they mentioned that they have no plans to.So to whoever said they read about it above this post - you are wrong. They are working on Starcraft Ghost - which is console only. It's amazing how rude and misinformed most people can be... Blizzard never stated that they didn't have plans to work on SC2. What they stated was that SC Ghost was not SC2. Second, They did state that they would revisit the Starcraft universe again. This was in the SC:Ghost FAQ so they weren't refering to SC:Ghost when they stated this.
jago
Do you guys REALLY think that a company is going to annouce every single game that they r working on? Companies register web URL's all the time just case they wanna use it... They'd b dumb to leave one of their biggest selling games high and dry...and if you think about, wouldn't you wanna keep people guessing as to whether or not game X is being made. From what I know from personal sources at Blizzard (both teachers and a friend who works there)...they currently have most of the itme focused on WoW, but that doesn't mean those same people are also throwing ideas around for Starcraft 2. electic102
The actual StarCraft Ghost work is kindof a contract position. For example in the bay area this job posting: http://www.craigslist.org/nby/sof/20424970.html So there are companies, other than Blizzard, that are working on starcraft ghost. As for StarCraft II I heard nothing about it. When I visited Blizzard last year there is an entire building in the Blizzard complex that no one knows what it is for. There are Blizzard employees working there but the annoucned and released project's employees have no idea what it is for. It's a big secret. Could it be StarCraft II? I don't know but some un-announced work is going on over there. And with what happened to Half-Life I would think they will keep their mouth shut for as long as possible. jago
Oh and in case you people forgot, most of the work for Starcraft: Ghost is being done by Nihilistic (spelling?). The benefit of having 2 locations for Blizzard (one in Irvine - which I've been to & a location in the Bay area) is that while one group is working on one game, the other is working on something different. Jimmerz28
Neverwinter Nights is the best D&D game I've ever played. Much different than a Final Fantasy game and like HeartScarab said, it emmerses you in the world. It's addicting and you can't get enough. Also, it's much more true to the "fantasy" aspect of RPGs. Final Fantasy tends to add sci-fi elements to their games.Anyway, as far as Starcraft 2 is concerned. I am a big fan of the original and can't wait for a sequel. I've been wanting Blizzard to update the game for a while now and I think it would rule! I agree NWN is the best D&D rules based game I have ever played, it fits exactly to the rules and they have updated the game, adding many new prestige classes and such, its an awesome game. I would like to see a Diablo 3 & SC2, I loved them both to death, and they took a good chunck of my life from me :D
