tsupersonic Posted June 21, 2014 Share Posted June 21, 2014 I don't necessarily disagree about the hardware, but unless you are getting it at discount, I'm not sure the what, $400-500 difference for a smaller screen is worth it at the entry level, retina or not. Your config does make it a harder choice as they are within a couple hundred or so, but I think I'd still take the touchscreen. ;) Eh, I have a Surface Pro 2, and I don't use the touchscreen unless I'm drawing/writing on the tablet. I've had another W8 laptop with touchscreen, and to me it was just a gimmick. You have to also keep in mind that the rMBP comes with a i5 4258U CPU which is better than the standard i5 4200U/4300U CPU's found in most Windows ultrabooks, not to mention the rMBP has better Intel integrated GPU's (Iris 5100 vs. HD4400) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
