Since I've gotten XP I reinstall less and less. I usually d/l new programs to check em out and so I clean install at least once a month for that fresh feeling.:ditsy:

i make ghost images before i install anything and if it screws up or makes a lot of stupid registry entries and doesnt clean itself up right i just get back my image and that happens maybe every week ;D

Usually every other month, if not sooner when I get a new piece of hardware. I've formatted my hard drive so many times, I can generally get my system back up to 100% working order in about 2 hours. I can definitely see stability issues when I let things go for too long.

I don't reinstall anymore... I have Norton Ghost 2002, and the first time I installed XP Pro OEM, I made an image right after I activated Windows.

Now all I have to do is:

1. Wait for my backup program to backup all files

2. After backup is complete, I put in my Ghost Floppy

3. I then restore "image to disk"

I then have 1 clean/perfect/new install of XP in about 3 minutes. :D

w00t!

Ghost is God! :p
