Captain Phatty
I had a Gravis Eliminator? GamePad Pro (pic below), and I got it because the price was right and it was similar to the layout of the SNES controller, which is what I use my gamepad for (SNES ROMS). I loved the feel of it, and it worked pretty well. But I could tell it was a chincy POS, and it broke after a few months:(( I am looking for a new one, and just wanted to know what everyone else had, and why you like/dislike it. +Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted December 9, 2003 Subscriber² Share Posted December 9, 2003 I use a Saitek Wireless Controller and love it. It has a sweet recharge station and 2 batteries so 1 charges while other is in use. Also works as a mouse device.
smoke
I have a Saitek controller though mine isn't wireless but it has dual analog and rumble and a good d-pad. Before I got that I had a wingman rumblepad but that one had a terrible d-pad and I use a gamepad to play a lot of my emulated 2D fighting games. Circaflex
I use a Saitek Wireless Controller and love it. It has a sweet recharge station and 2 batteries so 1 charges while other is in use. Also works as a mouse device. friend has that wireless one and its great, i also have the logitech wingman rumblepad cordless its great i really like it it has all the buttons i need a throttle and rumble, there is no delay because the wireless part everything works great, i got it for around 40-45dollars american it hink its a great buy, only thing is unlike the saitek it uses AA batteries so thats the only part that i dont like saitek is rechargeable, but ive been using this thing off and on for gaming and it hasnt died yet its real sturdy too, i have faith while holding it that i wont cripple it when i tighten my grip when racing down those sharp curves :woot: :woot:

Shadrack
i have a Wingman cordless rumble pad as well, and I really like it. Its solid, and has a great battery life. The digipad on it is horribly designed. I find myself using the analog joystick for SNES games because the digipad on this thing is just so crappy. Thats my only real complaint, but i think i'd probably use the joystick anyway as it is easier on the thumbs then the digipad.

mattmatik
Hmmm, glad this topic arose. I have a problem using an XBOX controller and a Super JoyBox 9 USB adapter. The drivers that came with it are buggy: they slow down my games during gameplay (NBA Live 2004, NHL 2004) and I also cannot map the analog stick to use FreeStyle moves in NBA Live. If I un-install the drivers, the games work fine (albeit, with no analog control) but I cannot reboot because if I do, the drivers are completely erased. If anyone has any remedies I would be extremely grateful. For those of you who use a PS2 adapter, do both of your analog sticks work in-game? Briandl79
While I don't game on the PC as much as I used to when I do I use an Xbox controller with an adapter. For the person who was also using an Xbox controller on his PC you might want to try different drivers, there are at least four different ones that I know of for the PC and one for the MAC, give them all a shot and see which one you like best. mattmatik
Thanks for the tip on the drivers. I tried XCtrl drivers, but for some reason, the freestyle control still doesn't work. Maybe it's just not supported in the game? Weird. Oh well, it's still playable and the controller works flawlessly with MAME and other emulators. BananaMan
Logitech Wingman Cordless Rumblepad here. Great controller. I bought it when I was immobilised in bed due to labyrinthitis (****** of an illness). The only bad thing is that stupid digipad - completely useless, as someone else has already pointed out.
