Blizzard doesn't have any other games for PC in the works.

And they lost their 4 best programmers.

There is a good chance that they are going to mess up Starcraft 2 cause they left it out so long. After 10 years its about time to actually make a brand new game. :ninja:

Don't get my wrong, I love Blizzard and hope they make it, but things are staked against them.

World of Warcraft will be a flop with the release of FF XI and the ever looming Everquest. World of Warcraft is just not as good as those other two games.

Have you played WoW? I highly doubt it...

Have you actually sat down and played it for a couple hours like I have? I HIGHLY doubt it...

Woopdeedoo...they lost 4 programmers...people come and go in companies in the game industry all the time. Blizzard South is located literally a few feet from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and they get programmers from there all the time.

One game being having a minor flaw isn't going to kill a company and a couple people leaving a company isn't going to kill them either.

Actually I have played all 3 for your information. :ninja:

FFXI is just amazing, Everquest is good (a little laggy though), and WoW is only ok.

I didn't find it any better than Everquest and it came out a while after Everquest.

And the 4 programmers that they lots WERE THEIR 4 BEST PROGRAMMERS. Its easy to pick up novic programmers like me, however its hard to replace the original programmers of warcraft and diablo. :ninja:

I don't want Blizzard to go down but they seem to not be able to turn on the creative juices and make a totally different game. WoW is just Warcraft again and Ghost is just another Starcraft (mind you it is a FPS so their was some creativity). Its starting to get like the Mario Party Series, what do they have now, 5 games!!!, and the are all the same with just a few new tweaks and a couple of new mini games with a slightly new story line.

I have loved Blizzard since Warcraft stated however its time for them to really make somthing new or Warcraft and Starcraft will just become another Mario Party case, and that would be too bad. :ninja:

They are the only programmers in the world bro...if they hire someone fresh to replace those programmers that doesn't mean that won't know their $hit. Plus people leave companies all the and sometimes when a project ends at smaller companies, some peopoe are let go since they won't be needed right away on the next project. This won't kill them...

Starcraft: Ghost is not a FPS bro...take a look at the screen shots...

You've played WoW...at what an expo? That would mean you played it for what 30 minutes (more or less)? You ain't gonna get the hang or idea of how a game is in half an hour bro...

I've been to E3 for the past 5 years and I've played games for 10-15 minutes that (at the time) were kick ass...but they ended up being miserable failures...example: Enter the Matrix.

...and I've played games that didn't really catch my attention but they ended up being huge sellers.

Speaking of which, is Trent Reznor still involved?

The last I read, he droped the project with ID because they were taking to long to develop ( :p ) the game and he wanted to resume working on the new NIN album. Here's one link for you to read on it.

Doh...good catch...I 4got to respond to that. Shame he isn't working on the music anymore cuz his music woulda fit the game perfectly.

I hope they at least keep in contact with him for possible feedback and ideas on how to compose the music.

Still, the Warcraft series is running a little dry, look at warcraft 3. It is the same game with new units, auto casting (which was a very good idea... omg casting in w2 was a pain :ninja: ), and heros. I agree that some of the new stuff was good but I think that this tap is going to run very dry soon.

:ninja: I also know that programmers can be replased (even though I wish they couldn't) but with a new programmer it changes the project team a lot, some times for the good, some times for the not so good. :ninja: Will blizzard survive, probably but they will not be as popular as they were in 1994 to after frozen thrown was released, and I can tell you a lot has been improved since the start of FT as I was a beta tester for it.

Does any one make RTS's like Blizzard, maybe Westwood but that is about it. I just hope they are able to come up with a really new idea so save their future or Westwood will.

lookin forward to this game although ill have to upgrade my pc to play it :(

well, don't dump your money yet.. at least for it to be released first. I nearly spent a lot of money for a new pc so I could play HL2. I'm glad I hesitated. :D
